We’re thrilled to share that Vix Technology is a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Transport Ticketing Awards!
As proud Diamond Sponsor of this year’s Transport Ticketing Global conference (17–18 March), we’ll be joining industry leaders to showcase innovation and celebrate success on awards night.
Our finalist projects:
Together with Transport for Wales (TfW), Vix is helping deliver the UK’s first large‑scale
Pay‑As‑You‑Go (PAYG) pilot on rail outside London. The South Wales Metro PAYG rollout now
enables tap‑in, tap‑out contactless travel across 95 stations, with automatic fare capping and
support for cards, mobiles, and smartcards.
Vix’s smart gates – designed and developed in collaboration with Gunnebo and TfW – along with, platform validators, and inspection devices, are replacing outdated systems with modern, modular infrastructure built for expansion.
The pilot has already powered hundreds of thousands of journeys, improving passenger convenience, data insights, and revenue protection. As TfW looks ahead, the technology already rolled-out provides a scalable foundation for integrated ticketing across Wales.
In Canada, the Arc programme, developed in partnership with Edmonton Transit Service (ETS, is transforming how riders move around the Edmonton Metro Region. Built on Vix’s account‑based platform, and developed for Arc, the ticketing system unifies multiple municipalities and supports contactless cards, mobile wallets, and fare capping.
Beyond simplifying fares, Arc helps ETS make data‑driven decisions that improve accessibility and equity. By combining ridership insights with social and demographic data, ETS can understand how different communities use transit and tailor services to meet their needs. The result: record ridership, more inclusive planning, and a smarter, fairer future for public transport in Edmonton.
We’re honoured to have our work recognised alongside so many impactful projects advancing
smarter, more inclusive mobility. See you in London in March.
