Despite Vix's longevity and leading position in the industry, there is still so much work to do, and markets to further expand in. It feels like an exciting time for us, especially with our new headquarters opening in Manchester.
My role is to ensure we hire the best people for our future growth. From entry-level future stars, to experienced and knowledgeable senior-level hires, I'm motivated to find the talent that will make an impact on our business and contribute to our culture, straight away and for the long term. That's probably the most vital part of hitting our targets as an organisation.
Speak to as many people across the organisation as you can, even those in roles that have little relevance to yours. Build an internal network and try to understand as much of the business as you can. It speeds up the onboarding process and ensures you can hit the ground running.
As my colleagues in the Manchester office would agree, I’m no longer the athlete I once was! Rather than playing football like I used to, I’m now a taxi driver to my seven year old, six days a week, so that he can be the one out on the football field.
